There's nothing I like better than a second chance romance, especially when it involves high school or college sweethearts that break up (for reasons!) and then meet again years later, never having gotten over that first love. That's the case here when Brynn and Ford meet once again. They dated, and were serious about each other until Brynn's family relationship turmoil made her decide that Ford was better off without her and her problems (which she'd never shared with him) and broke things off. But now, she's living around the corner from Ford, and when they end up at the same bar, the smile she gives him when they first make eye contact again after so long makes it clear that she still has feelings for him. And while Ford was heartbroken then, he's all grown up now (and a sexy, handsome man too!) - but still carries a piece of his heart for her. Now that they have a second chance, can they let the past stay buried or will it bring heartbreak again?

I loved this story! As a secondary character in the previous stories, Ford had already caught my attention and I was delighted that this story was going to give him his happy ever after - but not without some snags. He and Brynn definitely share some chemistry, and it takes a while but eventually she gives him the real reason for why she broke things off with him so long ago. But even so, it doesn't mean that she now feels free to pursue a relationship, and so she hopes he'll settle for a short fling where they can forget about the past and the future and spend some quality (aka sexy!) times together. I really liked how Ford was determined right from the start that he wasn't going to let Brynn go this time, and since I'm a fan of the 'hero in pursuit' type story, this worked for me. Brynn's mixed signals were confusing for him, though understandable for the reader once we find out her reasons for them. Dealing with her family, and the issues from her past that worm their way into the present, it's no wonder she's stayed clear of relationships. I thought the plot played out well, and the author does a great job of giving you just enough emotional angst to have that ' I can't stop reading until I get to the end!' feeling. Sexy, emotional and sweet, this romance has it all. 4.5 stars.

I really liked this book, I couldn't give it 5 stars because the h just whined too much by the end.
Mira Lynn Kelly is an automatic one-click/pre-order author for me. Love her books, and this one did not disappoint!
This book has a second chance romance theme, which is my favorite trope. Two college sweethearts get reunited again after 10 years, and both are still carrying a hot torch for each other. Predictably, they fall in bed and in love pretty much as soon as they meet again.

It's a short and sweet read, topped with such a sickly sweet saccharine ending that my teeth hurt just reading it. The book was ok, but don't expect much depth from it.
In advance I do have to say that I received an early copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
So .....with this book I broken my rule of never reading a book out of order if it's part of a series. The reason I did so with this one was due to "the discription" above, and the story itself really caught my attention, and the rest of the book didn't disappoint me at all!!! I really liked this story of second chances, both Brynn and Ford had a hard childhood, reading you felt how they faught through it. I also enjoyed the family and friends around these two (which I'll get to know next).There was just enough of everything in this little package. Including sex which is a must in a romance novel.
I started this series backwards, but that's ok. I'll survive )

Wow! Loved loved loved this book!! Ford & Brynn's story was fanastic! Their chemistry was off the charts hot. The writing was flawless!! This is am must read!
