I enjoyed this book, I liked the H/H, they had great chemistry and the plot was exciting and suspenseful. It has lots of erotic sex and I couldn't put it down. The only thing I didn't like was, as another reader said, the fragmented sentences on several pages of this story. It is the most bizarre writing in a book and I can't understand how these books are not edited??

I took off 1 star because of this lack of grammar and disjointed sentences which is a shame because the book is good. I think the bad grammar is a distraction from the story.
I hope the publisher will correct the writing in these books in the future with sentences that make sense.

The wicked Duke and the impertinent American what a combination in this extraordinary book. Deftly written by one of my favorite erotica authors always a wicked pleasure.
I liked this book it was just naughty enough. I always like HEA. Why would you want to read if you feel bad and sad when it's over?
Oh yes. I loved this book. Anything by Zoe Blake I devour.
There is sexy times. There is defiance. There is suspense. And let's not forget the HEA. So yes I would definitely recommend this book but only if you're into discipline and a little dub-con.
I enjoy storylines that seem more of a power shift and it was written in a way to make obsession seem more real. The added mystery of the murder attempts makes this novel as exciting and mysterious as it is sexy.
She never enjoyed the sex. The more pain he caused her the more he got off. During that time she didn't have any way to get away from him begging for freedom got her hurt even worse. I want to throw up!
I read every book this author writes and this book is a perfect example of why I do. Another fantastic historical romance written so very well with enough steam to require a fan! Add in suspense, mystery and danger and I was hooked, consequently, I read it straight through! Quit reading here and enjoy this book instead!
This is a wonderful story set in late Victorian times. The two key characters, Sarah and Pierce, are interesting and likable – and the affair that develops between them is passionate and filled with instances of various punishments he gives to her. There is a murder in the middle of the story, and it threatens the life of Sarah – Pierce goes to great lengths to protect her and solve the problem. The story ends well – and I would love to see a sequel because I liked the characters.
